MaruB Creations (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. Information We Collect

When you activate your VitaTag-SA profile, we collect the following information:

• Personal Information: Your name and date of birth.
• Contact Information: Your phone number and address.
• Emergency Contacts: The names and phone numbers of people you designate.
• Special Personal Information (Health Data): Information you voluntarily provide, such as:
  • Medical conditions (e.g., Diabetes, Epilepsy)
  • Allergies (e.g., Penicillin, Peanuts)
  • Current medications
  • Blood type
  • Medical Aid provider and number
• Information of Children: We collect the above information for children (under 18) only with the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian during the activation process.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used for one purpose only:

• To display it on a secure, web-based profile that is accessible to any third party (e.g., paramedic, police officer, member of the public) who scans your Tag's QR code or taps its NFC chip in a potential emergency.

We will NEVER sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketers.

3. How Data is Accessed (The Purpose of the Tag)

The entire purpose of the VitaTag-SA is to make your data accessible to an unknown third party *in an emergency*. By activating a tag, you understand and consent that any person who is in physical possession of your Tag can access your profile.

4. Data Security & Storage

We take your privacy seriously.

• Storage: Your data is stored in an encrypted database on secure cloud servers.
• Transmission: All data is transmitted over HTTPS (SSL).
• POPIA: We are committed to POPIA compliance. MaruB Creations (Pty) Ltd is registered with the Information Regulator, and our founder, Lerato Makgorogo, is our registered Information Officer.

5. Your Rights (Your Control)

You have full control over your data:

• Access & Edit: You can access and update your profile information at any time using your activation link.
• Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request the permanent deletion of your profile at any time by emailing us.
• Deactivation: If you lose your tag, you can request its deactivation.

6. Data Breach

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will take immediate steps to secure our systems and will notify the Information Regulator and all affected users as required by POPIA.
